Meet Andy...

What does your role at Sandler Training involve?
Talking to businesses that need our help, shaping a plan and then working with them in my training and consulting role to help them achieve their goals.

What are your favourite things about working at Sandler Training?
I love the Sandler network, we are 300 offices globally. I love our content, in particular the psychology that sits beneath all our sales and management training. I love the success stories we get from clients about how it impacts their lives.

What were you doing before working at Sandler Training?
I worked in the Corporate world for Accenture, it was very different!!!

Three tips you would give to someone in a sales or leadership role?
Always be learning. Always take responsibility. Take failures as lessons.

What are the most frequent questions you are asked?
How do I get in front of more prospects? How do I increase my close rate! How do I shorten the sales process? How do I find better staff? How do I build a sales team?

What do you think makes Sandler unique to any other training provider?
Lots of things. Our training is made up of on-going reinforcement programmes which along with the focus on psychology that underpins the content, brings long term change and impact in a business. We also make sure we don't just focus on technique (how we do things) but also on 'attitude' (how we feel about the things we do) and 'behaviour' (our routines and habits) as the combination of all 3 is what creates improved persormance.
Finally, when it comes to sales, I love the fact we teach people to sell without sounding like a salesperson!


What is one thing that surprised you about Sandler Training?
How much it impacts people in their personal lives, in their relationships with family and friends, in their health and wellbeing and the balance they have in their lives.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love sports and the outdoors, mostly surfing, road biking, sea swimming and rowing. I also love dancing, I've done quite a few years of 'modern jive' and more recently taken up 'west coast swing'. I spend as much time as possible in the outdoors with my 2 kids (aged 5 and 6) and my cockapoo puppy!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Crisps! Totally addicted. Leffe blonde. Giant buttons.

Have you got a life motto?
Live every day.

What is your biggest achievement?
Being a single Dad and raising 2 happy, confident kids.

Can you tell me an interesting fact about yourself?
I got 1 cap for the British and Irish Lions, in Australian Rules Football. I am also very good at handstands.
