Meet Harriet...

What are your favourite things about working at Sandler Training?

Like our clients, we are also on a journey of self-discovery and improvement!
Oh, and bringing my Labrador, Oakley, into work with me and of course our dream team of wonderful individuals.

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?
Striving everyday to achieve our company vision - which is ultimately about helping our clients achieve success and balance.

What were you doing before working at Sandler Training?
Working as PR Manager for PizzaExpress, which involved new menu launches and helping restaurants increase brand awareness in their local area.
I also helped set up an education programme involving over 25,000 children visiting the restaurants every year.

Three tips you would give to someone in a customer service or leadership role?
Stay curious, remember that you set the standard and model the behaviour, and carve out daily time to work on yourself.

What are the most common challenges your clients face?
Having to operate with a faulty belief system – which ultimately impacts just about every area of role performance.


What has changed in your world of training and development during the last 18 months and what impact has this had on your clients?
Having to recreate the classroom and office in a ‘virtual’ setting. This has ultimately saved businesses hours in travel time and improved productivity.
As a result of COVID, forward-thinking employers now appreciate more than ever the importance of investing in and developing their people - and critically, creating a working environment that fosters employee wellbeing.

What is one thing that surprised you about Sandler Training?
That selling can be (and should be) an honourable profession.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Daily morning runs, cliff walks with my partner and black Labrador, and escaping to London when I need an energy fix.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Fluffy bed socks in winter. Have I over – confessed? 

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Your personal opinions become your view of the world; either they hold you hostage or they drive you forwards. Bill Bartlett

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
At 18, I survived getting lost whilst trekking in the Himalayas during the monsoon!
